Security plays a vital role in our life. We are normally seen a well versed “Security System” has been set up in our every society/ residential complex, as a result, if any unauthorized person tries to enter our house, the security system automatically alarms the neighbors or the police.

In the same line, Computer security is very essential in today’s life because we are store and share valuable information about our customers and our organizations, which may be damaged by hostile software or intruders.

Information security is concerned with the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information assets.

Computer system has three interrelated and valuable components i.e. hardware, software and valuable data.

There are several forms of damage which are obviously interrelated. These are

The ways in which the system’s security can malfunction and diminish the value of it assets.  Any action that compromises the security of information owned by a organization is called security attack. Those people who execute such actions, or cause them to be executed are called attackers.
